Busy, busy!

This past weekend was filled with baby preparations. First off, the changing table arrived on Friday and since Dave has Fridays off work, he had it all put together by the time I got home from work. Bright and early Saturday morning, the FedEx man knocked on our door with the crib delivery. Dave got right to work while I “supervised” the whole process. Even Chubby wanted to be a part of it – see her right in the middle of the action?

We still have so much to do with the nursery but we definitely have a good start. Since we’ve decided not to find out the baby’s sex, I’m still contemplating what I want to do as far as room décor goes. As you can see, the walls are chocolate brown and I think I’m going to leave them that way. I’m debating whether I want to decorate the room neutral or gender specific. I really like the lime green and chocolate brown combination which would totally work for either so if I could find some bedding I liked, I could get started decorating. Otherwise, I may end up purchasing a girl set and a boy set and just return whichever one I don’t use. I also want to paint polka dots on the walls to match the bedding. I’m sure Grandma and Grandpa would be happy to take the baby for a day so I could paint!

We also used this weekend to start our baby registries! Armed with my Baby Bargains book, we went to Target and spent hours zapping boppies, swings, bumbos, onesies, gas relief drops, butt paste, and everything baby! It was a lot of fun but also very overwhelming. I know I’ll be adding to and modifying the list for awhile but we definitely got a good start. We also created a Babies R’ Us registry online. It’s unbelievable how much stuff a baby needs!!

Tomorrow is our 20 week ultrasound. Stay tuned....
